Sergey Koval

Sergey Koval was born in 1960 in Zavolzhsk, Russia, and grew up in Dnepropetrovsk. A self-taught painter, he discovered his calling in 1985 during a visit to the Black Sea town of Koktebel. Beginning in watercolour and tempera, he became known from 1988 for his oil paintings, drawing inspiration from the Dutch, Flemish, and Italian schools.

His career spans more than twenty exhibitions across Ukraine and Europe. His paintings are held in private collections and galleries in Austria, England, Germany, Israel, Canada, Russia, the USA, Ukraine, Czechia, and Switzerland.
