Ivan Pylypenko
Ivan Pylypenko's artistic education spans the Kyiv Art Vocational School, the school of Viktor Zaretsky, the Arts Institute, an internship in Cheltenham (Great Britain), graduate studies at the Academy of Arts, and work under Professor Mykola Storozhenko.
He has participated in national and international exhibitions, and his works are held in Ukrainian museum collections and private collections worldwide.
Drawing on Eastern philosophy and the European painting tradition, Pylypenko believes that art should express pure feeling — that subject matter should be reduced to a minimum, for to be merely informative in art is not only unnecessary, but harmful.
